Resumen de Avulsion partielle traumatique du tendon du triceps brachial chez un chat

  An avulsion of the triceps following a fal from the roof of a two-story house was diagnosed in a 2-year old castrated male domestic shorthair cat. Muscle avulsion was strongly suspected after clinical examination and dadiography. The diagnosis was confirmed by computer tomography scan. The avulsion was partial. Surgical treatment consisted of reinsertion of the tendon of the long head of the triceps on the olecranon, and strenghening of the remaining portions of the lateral and medial heads of the triceps using mattress or U sutures passing through tunnels drilled in the olecranon. For 3 weeks, the limb was immobilised by external restraints. Functional recovery was complete after revaluation 10 weeks postoperatively.

  Une avulsion du triceps brachial à la suite d'une chute du toit d'une maison de deux étages est diagnostiquée chez un chat européen mâle castré de 2 ans. Une forte suspicion d'avulsion musculaire est présente après l'examen clinique et la réalisation des clichés radiographiques. Le diagnostic est confirmé par un examen tomodensitométrique. L'avulsion est partielle. Le traitement chirurgical consiste à réinsérer le tendon du chef long du triceps sur l'olécrane, et à renforcer les parties restantes des chefs latéral e médial du triceps à l'aide de sutures en anse bloquée passant au travers de tunnels de forage dans l'olécrane. Pendant 3 semaines, le membre est immobilisé par contention externe. La récupération fonctionnelle est complète après réévaluations à 10 semaines postopératoires.
