Although the actual globalized landscape is based in the artificialization of its elements, there was a moment in which one could see the separation between the natural landscape and the landscape of artifice, natural debris and landfill sites. As argued Robert Smithson, it should review the works of the past and the futuristic concepts for a better understanding of the present. Therefore, in this review the interest aroused in this understanding of the landscape of nature, as a source of which return to learn the political, artistic, industrial and ecological values that gave way to the new era of globalization
