    El artículo se aboca a describir, sintetizar y analizar al sistema electoral por usos y costumbres en el contexto mexicano, tratando de presentar una imagen general sobre sus principales características y los principios en que se sustenta. Se deja asentado en estas líneas que uno de los desafíos que se tienen que atender con los municipios indígenas en su interior; es hacer compatible el derecho y la costumbre, de tal suerte que la tradición política indígena no pierda su identidad frente al derecho positivo. Evitar que el gobierno, los partidos y los caciques regionales continúen con la manipulación y el control en muchos municipios de usos y costumbres

    The article aims to describe, synthesize and analyze the electoral system by uses and customs in the Mexican context, trying to present a general image on its main characteristics and the principles in which it is supported. It is left written down in these lines that one of the challenges that have to be attended with the native municipalities in their interior, is to make law and custom compatible, so that the native political tradition doesn’t lose its identity against positive law. To avoid that the government, the parties and the regional overlords continue with the manipulation and control in many municipalities of uses and customs.
