Este es un estudio bibliométrico de los artículos publicados en el International Journal of Maritime History (IJMH) en el periodo 1989-2012. Se han clasificado casi 500 artículos según su area geográfica, tema y periodo de tiempo, y también se han analizado los más de 300 autores de los mismos. Los análisis revelan algunas tendencias interesantes. También mostramos que la creación del IJMH no ha conducido a una reducción de la publicación de artículos sobre temas marítimos en otras revistas.

This is a bibliometric study of the articles published in the International Journal of Maritime History (IJMH) in the period 1989-2012. The geographical area, topic and time period of almost 500 articles are categorized, and we analyze the more than 300 authors of these essays. The analyses reveal a number of interesting trends. We also show that the establishment of the IJMH has not led to a reduction in the publication of maritime-related articles in other journals.
