This paper analyses the essay �Culture industry� (Kulturindustrie) written by Adorno in Dialectic of Enlightenment, which consists on a critique of Enlightenment understood as mass deception. The introduction includes the essay of Adorno inside the major work Dialectic of Enlightenment, and the difficulties that the gesture of updating criticism of ideology faces in 1944. The first part analyses the main characteristics of the culture industry, namely, the false identity between subject and object, the creation of a false community, the control over individuals and the artwork on the culture industry. The second part is no more than an outline of the autonomous art and his antithetical qualities opposed to culture industry.
