  • In the first nine articles of this series, we explored some basic principles pertaining to questions such as why a certain element is required for certain biological functions and why the metalloenzymes behave the way they do, based on four very basic principles (1). We will now explore some other basic issues of bioinorganic chemistry. This article examines the electron transport processes in proteins and DNAs.
