A partir del acercamiento a la implicación textual que ha conllevado el cambio de soporte de la difusión de la escritura, desde el siglo IV a.C. hasta nuestros días, el autor reflexiona sobre las enormes posibilidades que ofrece el texto digital en la actualidad. El concepto de “segunda textualidad” viene a dar un marco teórico que permite comprender las enormes repercusiones en la creación y difusión de los textos en la nueva Sociedad de la Información y del Conocimiento. Una “segunda textualidad” que coloca al texto digital en el espacio intermedio entre la escritura y la oralidad.

Starting from the approach to the textual implications that the change of the format has carried out when spreading the literature, from the IVth century to the present, the author analyses the vast range of possibilities the digital text may offer. The concept “second textuality” makes possible to draw a theoretical background that allow us to understand the actual consequences of the creation and dissemination of texts in the so-called new Knowledge and Information Society. That “second textuality” sets up the text in a middle way between writing and orality.
