El principal objetivo del artículo es el de exponer el modo como Francisco de Asís y Raimundo Lulio vivieron la respectiva experiencia de evangelización, colocando así en evidencia los puntos de contacto y de divergencia. El artículo consta de tres partes. Las dos primeras han sido dedicadas al Santo Asís y al Mallorquino; han sido organizadas de tal manera que avisan al lector acerca del distinto contexto histórico y de la diferente formación de cada uno de ellos. La tercera parte, destinada a recoger las breves conclusiones finales, se convierte, en sus últimas líneas, en un mensaje de esperanza y de augurio: la experiencia de Francisco y de Raimundo, a pesar de que se encuentre muy distante de nuestros tiempos, puede servir de ayuda válida para afrontar los problemas actuales de comunicación entre religiones diversas.

Francis of Assisi and Ramon Llull - continuity and diffeerence in their relating to Islam. The main purpose of this article is to expound how the two, Francis of Assisi and Ramon Llull, lived their experience of evangelisation, underlining the points of contact as well as thee differences. The article is divided into three parts: the first two treat of Francis and Llull, and are arranged in such a way as to make the readeer aware of their differences in education and historical context, and most of all, of the different ways in which each carried out his mission. The third part is instead given over to drawing brief conclusions, and itself concludes with a message of hope and a wish: May the experience of Francis of Assisi and Ramon Llull, however distant from our own times, prove to be a great help in facing up to today's challenges in the matter of communication between different religions.
