    Unvonventional therapies are medicines based on a holistic approach to the veterinarian-pet-owner ralationship. They can be complementary or alternative. Although they do not meet the principles of Western medicine, they have been used as treatment or for prevention for a long time. Initial assessments, based on basic data, indicate that three of these therapies (herbal medicine, acupuncture and osteopathy) work to some degree. Each of these therapies has advantages and limitations but can be used for certain applications in daily practice. They are promising therapies for future use in practice

    Les thérapies non conventionnelles sont des médecines qui reposent sur une approche holistique de la relation vétérinaire-animal-propriétaire. Elles peuvent être complémentaires ou alternatives. Même si elles ne répondent pas aux principes de la médecine occidentale, elles soignent ou préviennent depuis longtemps. Trois d'entre-elles: la phytothérapie, l'acupuncture et l'ostéopathie reposent sur des bases dont les évaluations débutantes révèlent, au moins en partie, le fonctionnement. Elles ont chacune leurs intérêts et leurs limites mais peuvent être utilisées pour certaines applications en pratique quotidienne. Ce sont des pratiques d'avenir.
