    Se presenta una retrospección general del perfil del premio Nobel en economía 2002, además se realiza un análisis del llamado “desafío Kahneman-Tversky” y se confrontan los problemas de racionalidad limitada implícitos en el desafío K-T frente a la hipótesis dominante en la teoría económica estándar, acerca de que los agentes formulan expectativas racionales.

    This paper is organized in four sections. The first section presents an intellectual profile of Daniel Kahneman. The second section reviews the links between Princeton University and the Nobel Prize committee. The so-called “Kahneman-Tversky challenge” is the subject of the third section. Finally, the fourth section confronts the problems of bounded rationality implicit in the K-T challenge, with the agents forming rational expectations according to the ruling hypothesis in economics.
