Resumen de Fenomenologia nuclear: uma proposta conceitual para o ensíno médio

  The discovery of atomic nucleus by E. Rutherford, at thebeginning of the twentieth century, was the Nuclear Physicsoriginal landmark, from then triggered by a series of experimentsin which beams of particles, composed of neutrons, protons andothers, were taken colliding with a nucleus, in order to unravelits structure or produce artificial elements through nucleartransmutation. With the development of experimental equipment anumber of other nuclear phenomena have been observed, such asbeta decay, nuclear fission and fusion, Möesbauer effect, etc. Inview of the global political and economic landscape and thecontemporary educational trends this work suggest alternativetopics in Nuclear Physics that can be discussed at the conceptuallevel in High School teaching, where the main focus lies in thehistorical and technological importance of such phenomena insociety.

A partirdaí, desencadeou-se uma série de experiências em que feixes departículas, compostos por nêutrons, prótons e outros, eram leva-dos a colidir com um núcleo, no intuito de desvendar sua estrutu-ra ou produzir elementos artificiais através de transmutação nu-clear. Com o desenvolvimento dos equipamentos experimentais,uma série de outros fenômenos nucleares foram observados, taiscomo decaimento beta, fissão e fusão nuclear, efeito Möesbauer,etc. Tendo em vista o panorama político e econômico mundial eas tendências educacionais contemporâneas, este trabalho pro-põe-se a sugerir temas alternativos em Física Nuclear que podemser debatidos em nível conceitual no Ensino Médio, onde o focoprincipal reside na importância histórica e tecnológica de tais fe-nômenos na sociedade.
