  This paper sets out to put forward a theoretical and methodological model to tackle the monitoring of Basque from one generation to the next.

  It has two main sections. In the first part, I will be clarifying the lines of research and concepts used by the works that have dealt with the generational succession of minority languages and Basque, and then I will be reflecting on the appropriateness of these analyses and concepts for observing the current phenomenon of the monitoring of Basque. In the second part, I will be putting forward ways of influencing linked to a new paradigm in our aim to bring up children as Basque speakers. Basically, in this paper I want to call for the need for systematic research and to establish the bases for a line of research into the generational monitoring of Basque.

  Artikulu honen xedea euskararen belaunez belauneko jarraipenari heltzeko eredu teoriko-metodologikoa proposatzea da.

  Idazlanak bi zati nagusi ditu. Lehen zatian hizkuntza gutxituen eta euskararen gizaldirik gizaldiko segida aztergai izan duten lanek erabili dituzten ikerbideak eta kontzeptuak agerian utzi eta hori eginik, euskararen jarraipenaren egungo gertakariari behatzeko aztermolde eta adigai horien egokitasunaz hausnartuko dut. Bigarren zatian haurrak euskaldun haztea helburu dugula, paradigma berri bati loturiko eraginbideak proposatuko ditut. Funtsean, artikulu honetan ikerketa sistematikoaren beharra aldarrikatu eta euskararen belaunez belauneko jarraipenaren ikerketa lerro baterako oinarriak paratu nahi ditut.
