Resumen de The National Financial System, the Global Financial crises and Its impact on Bovespa Index and on the share prices of Vale do Rio Doce and Petrobras

There is a strong link among the markets and any change in one of them may reflect on theothers. The objective of this work was to verify the relation among stock prices of twocompanies: Vale do Rio Doce Company and Petrobras, in addition to Bovespa index, with thedevelopment and aggravation of the crisis in the world. The period we have studied was themost turbulent one studied and with the higher global economy retraction. The great quantityof negative news published in this period shows that the American market had influence onthis retraction. The Brazilian market sufferedhe effects of this process but showed itself moreprepared than in former crisis.

Há uma forte integração entre os mercados, e mudanças ocorridas em alguns deles podem serefletir nos demais. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo é observar se há relação entre asmovimentações de preço das ações da Companhia Vale do Rio Doce e da Petrobras e amovimentação do Índice Bovespa em função de eventos divulgados pela mídia mundial Operíodo estudado foi o de maior turbulência e retração das economias globais. A grandequantidade de notícias negativas divulgadas pela mídia durante esse período mostra que omercado norte-americano teve influência sobre essa retração. O mercado brasileiro sentiu osefeitos desse processo, porém mostrou-se mais preparado do que em outras crises.
