    El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar cómo los individuos pue - den exigir responsabilidad y justicia por par - te de las Naciones Unidas. En este sentido, podemos observar que éstas carecen de los mecanismos jurídicos, tanto en tribunales internacionales como ante cortes naciona - les, para exigir sus derechos. Se analizan los casos más relevantes que se han presentado contra las Naciones Unidas a nivel nacional para reflexionar si de esta manera se puede determinar la responsabilidad de la ONU.

    Finalmente, se dilucidan las maneras a través de las cuales, la protección de los individuos ante las Naciones Unidas puede fortalecer - se mediante los instrumentos jurídicos ya existentes, así como la posibilidad de que la ONU pueda ser miembro de tratados de de - rechos humanos

    his article aims to analyze how indi - viduals can demand accountability and justice from the United Nations. In this sense, we can see that the individuals lack legal mechanisms at both inter - national and national courts to enforce their rights against the United Nations. We will examine cases that have been filed against the United Nations be - fore national courts and analyze if in this way their responsibility can be determined effectively. Finally, we will discuss the ways through which the protec - tion of individuals against the United Nations can be strengthened, either by strengthening existing legal instruments or by analyzing the possibility that the UN can be member of human rights treaties
