    Este artículo trata sobre la agencia de las cihuapipiltin tlaxcaltecas, que significó una oportunidad a quienes, sin ser miembros de la noblezaautóctona, accedieran al poder local de manera indirecta en el siglo XVI. Algunos españoles aprovecharían el vínculo matrimonial conindias cacicas para acceder a la fuerza de trabajo e incrementar su capital político, aunque con ciertas restricciones. Así, las cihuapipiltinde la familia Maxixcatzin, adscritas al tlahtocayotl de Ocotelulco en la Provincia de Tlaxcala, capitalizarían su poder en la recomposicióny legitimación política local. Ellas, como principales de su tierra, lograron establecer sus redes de poder y garantizaron la transición deltlahtocayotl.

    This paper tries to meet the agency of the tlaxcalteca cihuapipiltin who meant an opportunity to access at the local power by indirectal way, also no members of the local nobility. Some spaniards take advantage by matrimonial link with cacicas for to have workers and to increase their workpower and political capital, but scammers certain restrictions.

    Thus, the cihuapipiltin of the Maxixcatzin family, attached to the tlahtocayotl of Ocotelulco in the Province of Tlaxcala, its power capitalized on the restructuring and local policy legitimation. They, as principales of his land, managed to establish its networks of power and the transition tlahtocayotl was guaranteed.
