Luminescent molecular thermometers are new-generation analytical tools. These thermometers consist of molecular species and inform us of temperature by means of light signals that can be detected with high sensitivity. Therefore, luminescent molecular thermometers have a great advantage in measuring the temperature of tiny spaces. In this article, luminescent molecular thermometers are reviewed in terms of their mechanisms and features.
