    La construcción de entramados muy complejos con relaciones intertextuales y referencias eruditas es una de las estrategias características de la escritura del autor austriaco Raoul Schrott. En el presente estudio se analizan dos poemas seleccionados de sus ciclos Hotels y Tropen para mostrar diversas variantes de relaciones intertextuales y sus funciones poéticas específicas. Los poemas escenifican la convergencia de diferentes planteamientos y sugieren una profundidad de comprensión que es más amplia que la que permiten la ciencia o la poesía de forma aislada.

    Zu den charakteristischen Schreibstrategien des österreichischen Autors Raoul Schrott zählt die Konstruktion hochkomplexer Geflechte an intertextuellen Bezügen und gelehrten Anspielungen. An zwei ausgewählten Gedichten aus den Zyklen Hotels und Tropen werden Varianten an Inter-textualitätsrelationen aufgezeigt und auf ihre jeweilige poetische Funktion hin untersucht. Die Gedichte inszenieren ein Zusammendenken verschiedener theoretischer Denkansätze. Sie suggerieren einen Erkenntnisgewinn, der umfassender ist als ihn Wissenschaft oder Poesie allein jeweils bieten könnten.

    One of the Austrian poet Raoul Schrott’s most characteristic writing strategies is constructing highly complex textures out of intertextual references and erudite allusions. In this essay, two poems (from the cycles Hotels and Tropen) are analysed to show variants of intertextual relations and their specific poetic functions. The poems show how different theoretical approaches converge to become a distinctive language which is both academic and poetic. According to Schrott, the insight thus gained is probably deeper than insights gained by the sciences or poetry alone.
