    Nos hemos propuesto describir cómo se empleaba la partícula -ί en los demostrativos, acotando sus condiciones de uso más allá de la simple etiqueta de «refuerzo deíctico». Como recurso del ático coloquial, los demostrativos con partícula señalaban siempre elementos del entorno visual o acústico del interlocutor, cuya atención se reclamaba vivamente por este procedimiento. En el artículo se localizan e intentan explicar algunos usos de los demostrativos generales incompatibles con -ί. Se hace un recorrido por los autores que lo emplean al objeto de establecer sus límites cronológicos, dialectales y su registro lingüístico. Asimismo, se pasa revista al inventario de formas y se analiza el singular estatus de dos de ellas: ἐκεινοσί y la fórmula νυνὶ δέ.

    We are intending to describe how the particle -ί worked in demonstratives, specifying the conditions that ruled its use beyond the stereotypical ‘reinforcing of the deixis’ label. As forms of the colloquial Attic, demonstratives with particle -ί always pointed to elements of the visual or acoustic environment of the audience, whose attention was required this way. This paper detects and tries to explain why the particle -ί was incompatible with some pragmatic uses of the demonstrative pronouns. We have listed both Greek authors who use it in order to determine its chronological limits, dialect and linguistic register, and forms focusing two of them: ἐκεινοσί and the expression νυνὶ δέ.
