Over the past decade, special collections professionals have attempted to break down barriers and attract new and different patrons through outreach programs to undergraduates, high school students, community groups, and others as a means of broadening our reach, widening the appeal of our materials, and ensuring our continued existence and relevance in an increasingly digital world.
