Frecuency of Streptococcus suis serotype 2 wasdetermined from pig slaughterhouses in the Toluca Valley. The samples were taken from 138 tonsils from which 64 strains oj Streptococcus suis were obtained. To thess strains were aplicated biochemicais and serological tests to identify the serotype 2 after this the sensibility in vitro test was performed in Mueller-Hinton agar with ovine blood. The highest frequency of the strains moderally sensitive were observed to penicillin and the strains with major frequency of sensibility corresponded to gentamycine andtrimetoprim-sulfametoxasol.
