    O presente texto pretende abordar as transformações urbanas ocorridas na cidade do Porto entre o século XII e o século XVIII. Procuramos centrar o registo dessas alterações em quatro grandes vectores: a ocupação e delimitação espacial, a formação da malha urbana, o aforamento privado e o espaço urbano, e o crescimento extramuros e a consolidação do edificado.

    This paper purposes to address the urban transformations that occurred in the city of Porto between the twelfth and the eighteenth century. We intend to focus the registration of these changes in four main areas: occupation and spatial boundaries, the formation of the urban, private tenure and urban space, and the extramural growth and the consolidation of urban space.
