The article addresses the concept of value and its meaning in philosophy, legal philosophy and law. It investigates the reception of the philosophical doctrine of value with its debate on value judgements in legal philosophy and searches for a possibility to justify values of the law. In this article, a “subjective-objectifying” value justification of the law is developed on the basis of a value-creating human nature.
