  Los postes prefabricados de fibra de vidrio han surgido como una alternativa viable y de pronóstico muy predecible en la odontología actual; pero como es una técnica relativamente nueva, muchas veces podemos tener dudas en la técnica a emplear. El principal problema de los postes prefabricados es que no siguen la morfología interna del conducto radicular; de tal manera aumenta el espesor de cemento a utilizar y por consiguiente, mayor probabilidad de vacíos que propicien su descementación. Ante esta circunstancia surge la técnica del poste anatómico como una alternativa más en la rehabilitación de dientes tratados endodónticamente.En el presente artículo se detalla la técnica del poste anatómico en la resolución de un caso clínico. Los resultados fueron satisfactorios para el paciente, ya que se logró rehabilitar correctamente las piezas dentarias antersuperiores, devolviendo la estética perdida. Se puede concluir que el manejo adecuado de la técnica del poste anatómico nos brinda una alternativa segura y eficaz en la rehabilitación oral de los pacientes.

  The prefabricated posts of glass fiber have arisen as a viable alternative and of very predictable forecast in the current odontolgy, but since it is a relatively new technology we often can have doubts in how to use it properly. The principal problem of the prefabricated posts is that they do not follow the internal morphology of the root canal causing the cement thickness increase, as a result a major probability of emptiness that propitiate its descementation. In this circumstance the technology of the anatomical post appears as an alternative in the rehabilitation of endodontically treated teeth. This paper focus on the technology of the anatomical post in the resolution of a clinical case. The results were satisfactory for the patient since the anterosuperior dental pieces were correctly rehabilitated, achieving the lost aesthetics. It is concluded that the suitable managing of the anatomical post technology offers an alternative in the oral rehabilitation of the patients.
