  • The article offers the author's comment on the article "Efficient Credit Policies in a Housing Debt Crisis" by Janice Eberly and Arvind Krishnamurthy. The author says that Eberly and Krishnamurthy's model of how consumer rebalance their consumption shows several important things when one is faced with a borrower liquidity crisis and reduction of mortgage principal and automatically lowering mortgage rates. A discussion concerning the U.S. housing policy is also offered.
