Resumen de Producción y valor nutritivo de la Serradella ("Ornithopus sativus" Brot.) en Galicia

  Se estudian la producción y el valor nutritivo de un cultivo de Serradella en diferentes fechas y estados de madurez, mediante cortes a intervalos regulares de 15 días desde el crecimiento vegetativo hasta legumbres maduras. La producción de materia seca fue de 3,8 t/ha en el primer corte y 6,7 t/ha en el último. La Digestibilidad de la Materia Orgánica decreció del 83 %> al 57%, en correlación inversa al contenido en Fibra en Detergente Acido que subió de 20,5% a 43,9%. La Proteína bruta bajó de 17,4% a 9,6%, en el último corte (frutos maduros). Como el valor nutritivo del forraje se mantiene aceptable hasta el estado de legumbre inmadura, el momento de corte debe decidirse en función de los datos de producción.

  The yield and nutritive valué of a Serradella culture was studied at different dates and maturity stages, by cutting at regular interval of 15 days from the vegetative growth to mature legumes stage.

  A dry matter yield of 3,8 t/ha at first and 6,7 /ha at the last cut was obtained.

  The DOM decreased from 83% to 57% in an inverse correlation with the FAD from 20,5% to 43,9%. The crude protein (CP) drop from 17,4% to 9,6% at last cut (mature legumes).

  An acceptable nutritive valué was mantained in the forage up to the inmature legume stage, so the cutting date must be decided according with the yield data.
