    En toda representación del pasado se cruzan memorias que pugnan por su inscripción en la historia. Esta es una de las razones por la cuales memoria y olvido deben ser consideradas a la hora de estudiar las elaboraciones históricas. Estos aspectos protagonizan no solo debates públicos, sino también discusiones fundamentales en el marco de la filosofía de la historia. En este sentido, Walter Benjamin y Reinhart Koselleck ofrecen en el escenario alemán, reflexiones influyentes y cruciales para el abordaje de este tema. El presente escrito considerará los aspectos mencionados de la mano de sendos escritores, bajo tres ejes: experiencia, memoria y posibles usos del pasado

    In any representation of the past, different memories that struggle for their inscription in history are in conflict. That is one of the reasons why memory and forgetting must be considered when it comes to historical elaborations. These aspects are central not only in the public debates, but also in the main discussion of the philosophy of history. In this respect, Walter Benjamin and Reinhart Koselleck offer in the German scenario influential and crucial thoughts for the analysis of this subject. This paper considers the mentioned aspects from both writers under three axes: experience, memory and possible uses of the past.
