    • This article describes an interesting experiment for elementary organic laboratories. While the reaction (the Pinacol Rearrangement) described is an old one, its application as a puzzle is a new one. It provides students with practice in several laboratory techniques, develops their problem solving abilities, and enhances their critical thinking skills.
