  • Resumen
    • General Chemistry at Eastern Idaho Technical College is designed to give chemical and environmental technician graduates a sound chemistry foundation for the rigors of the work place they will encounter after two years of education. Through the use of group project teaching methods, interaction and involvement with the local industry, and continuous emphasis on oral and written communication skills students experience general chemistry in an applied and cooperative manner. Group projects promote creative thinking and interpersonal skills that future employers demand. Oral and written communication assignments and activities encourage refinement of these skills. Interaction and involvement from local industry helps students appreciate the relevancy of their training and provides mentors for the cooperative education component of our programs that occurs in the summer following General Chemistry.
