Comportamiento de los formantes vocales respecto a la apertura mandibular y el género

    Este estudio determinó el efecto que tiene la apertura mandibular y la condición de género sobre los formantes vocales 1 y 2 en fonación sostenida, basado en una muestra no probabilística cautiva dela Institución Universitaria Iberoamericana, conformada por un grupo de 31 sujetos, 15 mujeres y 16 hombres adultos, con voz normal y sin entrenamiento vocal, en un rango de edad entre 18 y 45 años.Las muestras fueron procesadas por el Visi Pitch III 3900, programa Sona match. Mediante estudios estadísticos, se realizó un análisis de varianza de una vía, así como comparaciones post hoc, encontrando que existen diferencias significativas al variar la Magnitud de Apertura Mandibular (M.A.M.) en el F1, mas no en el F2. También se evidenciaron diferencias significativas en ellos según la condición de género, presentándose más variaciones en mujeres que en hombres, al usar mayores aperturas mandibulares. Estos hallazgos soportan el efecto acústico que tienen sobre los formantes, las técnicas terapéuticas y pedagógicas que involucran apertura mandibular, y sugieren considerar el género en su implementación.

    This study determined the effect that has the jaw opening and the condition of kind on the vocal formants 1 and 2 in maintained fonation, based on a not probabilistic sample captive on the “Institución Universitaria Iberoamericana”, conformed by a group of 31 subjects, 15 women and 16 adult men, with normal voice and without vocal training, in a rank of age between 18 and 45 years. The samples were processed by the VISI PITCH III 3900, program Sounds match. Through statistical studies, an analysis was carried out a one way varianza, as well as post hoc comparisons, finding that exist significant differences upon varying the magnitude of jaw opening (MAM) in the F1, but not in the F2. Also they were shown significant differences in them according to the condition of kind, presented more variations in women that in men, upon using greater jaw openings. These finds supports the acoustic effect that have on the formants, the pedagogical and therapeutic techniques that involve opening jaw, and they suggest considering the kind in their implementation.
