Resumen de Percepción de la labor del fonoaudiólogo en instituciones de la ciudad de Popayán 2013

  El objetivo de esta investigación fue describir la percepción que las instituciones tienen de la labor donde el fonoaudiólogo realiza su práctica profesional, en la ciudad de Popayán. Se realizó un estudio cualitativo etnográfico, en el que se usó como instrumento de recolección de datos una entrevista estandarizada abierta que según Patton (1999), se caracteriza porque las preguntas se redactan y ordenan con antelación, son realizadas por igual a todos los entrevistados, quienes tienen la posibilidad de responder abiertamente. Se seleccionó una muestra de carácter no probabilístico integrada por 38 personas, 32 de género femenino y 6 masculino, de estos, tres eran profesionales en las áreas de Ingeniería, Salud y Educación y cumplían con el rol de empleador; once informantes integraron el grupo de acudientes y diecinueve hicieron parte del Equipo Interdisciplinario. En los resultados se evidenció que en la formación de percepciones influyeron de forma directa aspectos relacionados con el tipo de informante, el nivel educativo y el tiempo de relación con el profesional. Por otro lado, la mayoría de los informantes reconocieron como positiva la labor del fonoaudiólogo sin embargo confundieron áreas y campos de desempeño.

  The aim of this investigation is to describe the perception the labor of the Speech and Languaje therapist in institutions where it realizes its professional practice in Popayán city. A qualitative and ethnographic study was carry out, in which a semiconstructed interview was used as instrument compilation of information. The selected sample was not probabilistic character, integrated by 38 persons, 32 of feminine sex and 6 of masculine sex, of these three they were professional in the areas of Engineering, Health and Education and took the employer’s role; eleven informants integrated the group of guardians and nineteen were part of the Interdisciplinary Group. The results showed that the formation of perceptions is influenced of direct form by aspects related to the type of informant, the educational level and the time of relation with the professional. On the other hand the majority of the informants recognized as positive the labor of the Fonoaudiology nevertheless they confused areas and fields of work.
