  • A postage stamp issued in Spain in honor of Marie Curie, in the context of the International Year of Chemistry, is presented. This stamp represents an opportunity to link chemistry concepts (i.e., radioactivity, properties of polonium and radium) and history of science topics (e.g., discovery of spontaneous radiation, biography of Marie Curie, culture in the Spain of interwar years).
