Presentamos en éstas líneas un breve repaso a la historia de la investigación, así como un intento de estructurar las nuevas perspectivas historiográficas, en relación a la cerámica común producida en la Península Ibérica entre los siglos V y VIII. Se plantea una división en seis grandes fases según los criterios teóricos, metodológicos e históri - cos que se aplican al estudio de la cerámica visigoda en cada momento

We present in this paper a brief review of the history of research, as well as an at - tempt to structure the new historiographical perspectives in relation to ceramics pro - duced in the Iberian Peninsula between 5th and 8th century. The research is divided into six stages with respect to the theoretical, methodological and historical criteria that apply to the study of Visigothic ceramics throughout this period.
