    La legitimidad es un valor que se predica de sistemas, bien políticos bien jurídicos. Me propongo, en primer lugar, examinar las diferentes nociones del término, tanto en la filosofía política como en la filosofía jurídica. La legitimidad, por otra parte, se plantea frecuentemente en relación a la legalidad, y aquí voy a tratar dos de las relaciones más significativas: la legitimidad como legalidad y la legitimidad de la legalidad. Por último relacionaré el concepto de legitimidad con otros como transparencia y responsabilidad que a mi juicio representan en la actualidad referentes inexcusables para poder hablar de la legitimidad de los sistemas políticos.

    Legitimacy is a value which refers to systems both political and legal. The aim of this article is, firstly, to examine the different notions of the term both in the areas of political philosophy and legal philosophy. Secondly, legitimacy can be often considered in relation to legality, and here I intend to deal with the two most significant relations: legitimacy as legality, and legality as legitimacy. Finally, I will relate the concept of legality with others such as transparency and responsibility which, in my opinion, represent nowadays two unavoidable points of reference in order to explain the legitimacy of the political systems.
