    Ernesto Nathan Rogers no solo fue un gran arquitecto comprometido con su época, sino un teórico y docente que influyó en muchos jóvenes arquitectos que se esta­ban formando en los años 50 y 60. El presente artículo pretende profundizar en la influencia que el corpus teórico de Rogers dejó en tres de sus alumnos aventajados: Ricardo Porro, Vittorio Garatti y Roberto Gottardi, y cómo este pensamiento estuvo presente en la concepción de su primera y principal obra: las Escuelas Nacionales de Arte de La Habana.

    Ernesto Nathan Rogers was not only a great architect committed to his time, but a theorist and teacher who influenced many young architects that were forming in the 50s and 60s. this article examines the influence that Rogers´s theoretical corpus left on three outstanding students: Ricardo Porro, Vittorio Garatti and Roberto Gottardi, and as this thought was present at the conception of his first and principal work: the National Schools of Art in Havana.
