    El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las opciones terminológicas utilizadas para verter el término «Gemüt» en las diversas traducciones en lengua española de la obra de Kant. Para ello, justificaremos la importancia sistemática de este concepto en el pensamiento del filósofo de Königsberg, examinaremos su significado en el alemán del siglo XVIII y presentaremos las traducciones posibles en lengua castellana. Por último, consideraremos las principales ediciones en castellano de la obra de Kant –centrándonos especialmente en la Crítica de la razón pura (1781)- en relación al contexto histórico en que se originan y a las influencias que reciben de traducciones realizadas en otras lenguas.

    The main aim of this paper is to analyze the terminological choices made in the Spanish translation of the German word “Gemüt” in Kant’s work. We will briefly consider some core aspects of Kant’s thinking in order to justify the systematic relevance of this concept and examine its meaning in the eighteenth century, as well as its possible Spanish translations. Finally, we will consider the main Spanish translations of Kant’s work –especially his Critique of Pure Reason (1781)- in relation to the historical context in which they arose and the influences received through translations into other languages.
