    Classifying organisational websites. A taxonomic approach to hypertext linksThis article presents an original approach for characterising information and classifying websites based on a taxonomy of the text units associated with hypertext links in home pages. This approach offers an interesting alternative to statistical methods for processing large volumes of data and contributes, despite the limitations inherent to any classification system, to the construction of meaning in specified organisational environments.

    Nous présentons ici une approche originale de caractérisation informationnelle et de classement des sites web s’appuyant sur une taxonomie des unités textuelles associées aux liens hypertextes des pages d’accueil. Cette démarche offre une alternative intéressante aux méthodes statistiques de traitement de grands volumes de données et participe, malgré les limites inhérentes à tout système classificatoire, à la construction de sens dans des environnements organisationnels identifiés.
