A trial was carried out with twelve crossbred Holstein cows (95 ± 37 nursing days and 7.25 ± 2.17 kg milk/ cow/day) in a 4 x 4 latin switch back square design, where the cows formed four groups, with four periods of evaluation; each period consisted of three weeks, all groups were grazing on Brachiaria humidicola, the variation was produced in the supplementation, with four rations (A: 2.0 kg from brewers wet grains, (B.W.G.), B: 2.5 kg of commercial concentrate (C.C.), C: 9.0 kg of B.W.G. and D: 18.0 kg of B.W.G.).
