  • Insurance giant AIG has completed a review of its UK panel while at the same time establishing a European panel of 64 firms.

    The second phase of the panel review saw the company review the terms and conditions of the UK panel to allow AIG to gain more from the firms it uses.

    AIG general counsel Chris Newby told The Lawyer: "The changes are manly around the value-added propositions. We updated our framework so pretty much all of our panel firms give us value-added services, such as training.

    "Our legal operations centre will centralise the recording of the services provided by firms so they get proper credit for it."
