  • The article reports on the key role played by the co-financing schemes in enhancing infrastructure projects in Peru. Topics cited include the contribution of credit enhancement schemes provided by the government to the growth in investment and financing sources for large scale infrastructure projects and improvement in macroeconomic performance, advantages and disadvantages of reduction in government's credit exposure, and contingent obligations of the government under the co-financing scheme.
