  • The article reports on the growth in the corporate issuance of green bonds (GB) worldwide in 2014. Topics covered include a background on the evolution of GB, the reasons why corporate and institutional investors for participating in the GB market, and the creation of the GB Principles by the International Capital Market Association to serve as the best practice guidelines for issuance of GB. Also mentioned is the emergence of impact reporting as a way to formalize the criteria of asset class.
