    • The article discusses the declining cost of launching satellites and space missions, focusing on the regulatory challenge posed by the entrance of developing countries and the private sector in space and the so-called democratization of space. Topics include the impact of advances in the field of computing and additive manufacturing techniques on the ability of individuals, companies and governments to go to space; the Outer Space Treaty; and policy issues such as the monitoring of objects in space to prevent accidents, and the danger posed by potential military applications of most space objects.
