  • The article compares the history of the post-Reformation wars of religion in Europe to contemporary political and religious beliefs in the Middle East. Topics considered include the Marshall Plan for reconstruction after Word War II, the Arab Spring of 2011, competing Protestant beliefs of Calvinism and Lutheranism, and the theories of English philosopher Thomas Hobbes.
