  • The article discusses merger and acquisition (M&A) deals involving distressed assets and the importance of timing to the success of a deal. Topics discussed include the agreement of lawyers at the 2013 International Bar Association annual conference that companies must consider a distressed deal or early restructuring and a call option on the equity by individuals who control the entity in which a buyer is trying to invest.
