Resumen de Romania: : Criminal Code intensifies sanctions.
The article reports on the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes that were implemented in Romania effective on February 1, 2014 relating to criminal corporate liability. The range of crimes applicable to companies identified under the Criminal Code are mentioned. Examples of the provisions of the Codes are cited that are related to the notion of abuse of confidence and to public procurement. Also noted is the redefinition of the term insurance fraud under the Criminal Code.
