The article reports on the proposed listing rule changes that are expected to be approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of Great Britain on May 1, 2014 in order to curb the power of majority shareholders and to protect minority shareholders. Two options for listing companies were considered by the FCA. An overview of the result of a survey on the areas of the equity markets of London, England that need improvement is presented.
