Resumen de Mauritius: : Clearing confusion in arbitration.
The article presents update on the refinements to the area of dispute resolution in Mauritius in 2013 in an effort to establish its position as a venue for adjudicating international dispute. These include amendments in the Code of Civil Procedure which clarified provisions of the International Arbitration Act 2008 (IAA) and the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards Act 2001 (CREFAA), creation of a system of designated judges, and use of witness statements.
