  • The article discusses the highlights of the 2014 International Financial Law Review's (IFLR) Southeast Asia Forum, wherein panelists suggested the need for clearer investment regulations to improve foreign direct investment (FDI) structures. Issues tackled include the use of nominee agreements, the role of joint ventures, and representation to circumvent FDI restrictions. Other issues addressed are the failed acquisition of Bank Danamon by DBS bank, and the regulatory uncertainty in India.
