  • The article looks into the increasing acceptance of covenant-lite borrowing deals in Europe that is raising concerns over risks posed by borrower insolvency or bankruptcy regimes in Europe. Topics discussed include advantages of term loan B investment deals over pre-crisis deals, the difficulty to growing this market in Europe, and the benefits of a European collateral package for lenders. Also explained is the different approach of the European market to secured lending compared to the U.S.
