  • The article examines the cyclical trends that are causing shift in lending practices across the U.S. and Europe and are expected to outlive covenant-lite borrowing arrangements. Explanations from industry experts are offered on how unitranche funding, anti-corruption sanctions, and U.S. leveraged lending guidelines are creating longer-term issues and opportunities for borrowers and lenders. Also discusses is the impact of the lending guidelines on loan documentation and negotiations.
