  • The article emphasizes the need for participants in the U.S. capital markets to educate the general public about high-frequency trading (HFT) and market structure features and issues. It acknowledges the effort of made a concerted effort U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Mary Jo White to address market structural issues. Emphasis is given on the need to identifying problems to assist politicians in their action. The author views that transparency leads to improvements.
